How My Morning Went: Very relaxed calm morning, early start I was up at 5.45 to put on all the lights for Marcella coming at 6 shower tea, I got Mila our daughter her breakfast while I waited for hair and make up and got her dressed. I was nervous because I couldn’t sit down and relax I had to keep busy. I had a lovely moment with my mum where I gave her a ring I bought her in the style she had wanted for some time. I couldn’t wait to get dressed once I had hair and make up done… Lisa and Sarah got me dressed. I came down to my dad and he had the biggest smile. My friend Ciara did our hair she was great to have in the house she really relaxed me and gave us great guidance for the day from start to finish I don’t know what we would have done without her. I felt like i was in the car ages waiting to go! Once I was dressed I was ready and excited I just wanted to go!
How Our Ceremony Went: We pulled up to the church I got some pictures with the bridesmaids they got ready to go and Sarah my chief bridesmaid gave me a kiss on the cheek and I got nervous again…. I took a breath and I was composed again. I locked eyes with my friend Bobby at the back of the church she really calmed me and once i turned down the aisle I just looked straight ahead…. I was surprised I was calm and relaxed through the ceremony. The music was beautiful it was songs that myself and Keelan loved and Sinead sang them so beautiful! When communion took a bit longer than expected and we rang out of music Kieran wasn’t long improvising and he even managed to sneak in a bit of the Sunday game theme song for Keelan! Our friends mum asked me did I want her jacket outside the church when we were greeting people but I really didn’t feel the cold at all!!
How Photoshoot/Drinks Reception Went: I was so worried about the photos because I can’t pose but Ed relaxed us so much it just came natural, we stopped at Lough Meelagh just at the foot of Kilronan for pictures it was just me and Keelan on the jetty it was freezing but so nice to have some moments to ourselves… we continued on to Kilronan and while the bridesmaids nipped to the ladies we had a little moment with Mila and gave her our gift while we got some photos with her. We then got all the bridal party at the back of Kilronan with the lake and castle in the background Ed made it so enjoyable for us all we had a great laugh. We went in and once the dinner bell was rang ed brought us to the spa and told me to stand up on the pool to this day I don’t know how I didn’t rip the dress getting up but that picture is stunning and I’m so happy we got that picture. My one picture I had asked for was outside the castle we did it after dinner and Ciara was assistant for this shot… as there was no wind she offered to create the illusion of the wind catching my veil I never laughed so much. The whole reception seemed to go so fast!
Meal/First Dance: The meal was just faultless, the service was just something else you just seen the staff come out the doors and it was like a wave everyone seemed to get served at the same time…. Ed came up and told us the band would be starting and said his goodbyes as we wouldn’t notice him slip off once everything got going so we made our way towards the dance floor and just watched everyone gather we got the call and off we went. We were dancing to rainy night in soho and Keelan sang along like he loves to do…. it was lovely but as it went on I was like how long is this song we were trying to signal the bridal party to join us we never realised the song was so long until it was just the two of us on that dance floor not even Mila would come and save us. Our DJ Tommy Elliott let off a confetti cannon and it frightened the life out of me if all I could thing was my face if Ed caught that picture… after that the dance floor was in full force from 9.30 until 2…. there was a dance off to river dance girls v boys and Ciara got a run for her money when Keelan’s uncle Greg challenged her to a river dance dance off! Greggy represented the boys very well! we had 3 last songs where we were up on shoulders and the bridesmaids and girls took over the stage.
