When I arrived in the quaint little village of Crossmolina it wasn’t long before I found the fagan’s!  Upon entering the house there was the usual buzz of happiness and hairdryers, immediately I stumbled upon a familiar face…  Amanda was doing what she does best with Maria’s mum’s makeup.  I meet Amanda on quite a few weddings nowadays and it is always easy to see why.  Good makeup makes my job just a little easier when it comes to lighting, lights reflect a lot on skin unless the mua has left a great, even natural finish.  Across the hall, Louise and Amanda from Allure in Ballina were busy styling all the ladies heads!

The two little men in the house were busy making sure Maria was going to be on time!  Very chilled little guys considering all that was happening all around them!  When flowers arrived I got on the little details, the bouquets were impeccably put together by Feehilys Florists in Sligo.

Just before Maria was fully ready to leave, I quickly packed my gear and hit for St Tiernans, to be greeted by Fr Bud, (or Fr Francis ;-)), This guy is a hoot!  He had the entire church smiling ear to ear for most of the personally delivered ceremony.  The ceremony was beautifully serenaded by the soothing sounds of Katie Cassidy & Katie was also joined by Aaron’s sister Mariosa Caden.

After the ceremony, it was a celebratory shot in Fr Bud’s den, one of the funkiest hideouts I have come across.  You do see quite a few priests putting a personal touch on the ceremony with a few words, the budmeister wouldn’t have it any other way only to invite Maria & Aaron and their bridal party back for a half one!

I then set off for the luxurious Castle Dargan in Sligo, to be greeted there by Kim the wedding co-ordinator, Maria had mentioned Kim a few times throughout correspondence and it certainly is great to have a coordinator that puts that kind of trust into a couple planning the biggest day of their lives.  We got some portraits outside Castle Dargan House itself and then I like to float for a while, picking up on details and expressions throughout the drinks reception. I think Fr Francis had everyone in exceptionally good moods, smiles all round everywhere you looked…

Before the meal I captured a few details of stuff like the place settings and the cake etc.  The cake was carefully detailed by the highly skilled Liz at Fantasy Cakes, Fantastic Tastes.  Floor filling music was provided by the lively Gorilla Radio.
