I first met Natalie & David two years ago when they dropped in to view albums and listen to my gentle approach to wedding photography.  I really have to say I am so lucky to meet so many amazing couples, Natalie and David are definitely another to add to my list, this was solidly confirmed throughout their wedding day!  Two purely genuine people with a magnetic attraction…  I set off at 9.50am for Natalie’s house in Ballyglass, arrived, dumped the car out the back and I was greeted by the bubbly bride to be herself!  I usually start by quietly introducing myself as I come across everyone in the house, picking up on little details and the general goings on as discreetly as possible.  The girls hair was already super styled by Dee Conroy of Redz Hair Design when I arrived, and then I found another familiar face in the hugely talented Hayley Coleman Makeup Artist who was delicately applying the lasting touches to Nat’s mum.  Mum’s are generally timid enough with a photographer about, but I knew it wouldn’t take long to get onside!

While the girls were donning dresses, I took the opportunity to get some details of the beautiful floral creations by the talented Ruth Healy of Wedding Flowers by Ruth.  I was also joined by the humble Dave from All West Videos, Its always great to meet Dave at weddings, his style of shoot is probably one of the most discreet I have come across.  I got the hollar for the final close up of the gorgeous gown that I can only imagine took so long to pick.  Natalie told me she got her dress from the popular Dinagh Modes Bridal Boutique and she sure made it look amazing!  Poor dad was left without a glass, and so one must make do! ;-)…

I arrived at the church to meet a surprisingly chilled out groom!  Dave was taking it all in his stride, and why not?!  The ceremony commenced with beaming glances from the bride, two very happy people, always makes my job that bit easier!  Heavenly vocals from the gifted Ailbhe Hession set the tone for what was a beautifully personal ceremony.  When Nat & Dave skipped down the aisle after formalities, we nipped back for a few family formals, I always find the sooner we can get these done, the sooner it seems that everyone relaxes that bit more, and get on with the natural flow of the day!  We jumped in the cars and left for a few tender memory makers in Belleek Woods in Ballina.

When we got what we needed in Belleek, we hit the road again, this time for Enniscrone.  We arrived at the classy Diamond Coast Hotel.  The Diamond Coast is one of my favorite venues to shoot, in terms of light and in terms of Mary and Olivia that are at the helm for weddings, absolutely nothing is too much if I need anything on the day.  We made a few more memories and then the newly weds got on with the rest of their day, when it came to it, the guests seated quickly, to discover their picture in keyring on each place setting.  This service was provided by Clickring, a dublin based company that quietly captures each couple, family or person at the wedding and has the images printed and in keyring by the time the guests eat!  It impressed me with the speed it was completed at, especially with a bigger wedding.

After speeches, the dancing shoes were well warmed when tunes kicked off to a lively start from east coast based wedding band The Seducers.  Another thing I did notice was the Dj was also in at the same time to setup as the band, so the transition from music would be seamless and Dj Scruffy Duffy could have a good read on the crowd as to what would keep the floor filled after The Seducers seduced!
